The Correlation Server is the engine that propels the comparison functions of IBIS® technology. The Correlation Server receives, manages, and compares the unique digital signatures taken from the images of ballistic exhibits. These digital signatures are then mathematically compared and ranked according to similarity. This powerful comparison capability allows operators to rapidly search through hundreds of thousands of exhibits, focusing on only the most likely candidates.

Storage - IBIS Data Concentrator

The Data Concentrator is the storage device that “concentrates” the data from multiple IBIS-TRAX 3D™ acquisition stations. The Data Concentrator provides storage and backup services for the IBIS-TRAX 3D data. It also acts as the interface between IBIS® Heritage Systems and IBIS-TRAX 3D product families. The Data Concentrator can be installed locally or remotely from the Correlation Server location through an efficient data replication process.
